Micro-Dermabrasion for skin resurfacing

Micro peel gently removes epidermal cells to treat a vast range of skin imperfections. It is especially effectives for skin ageing. The powerful peeling action triggers the skin’s repair mechanism to produce healthy epidermal tissue growth, improving skin tone and elasticity.

What is micro-dermabrasion?
Micro-dermabrasion is a progressive, non-invasive treatment that propels natural mineral crystals onto the surface of the skin for gentle epidermal abrasion that reveals newer, healthier, younger skin.

How does the treatment work?
Micro-dermabrasion works in two ways:
Correction: The speed of the crystal flow causes an abrasive action that gently removes the surface layers of the skin, allowing smoother, fresher skin to emerge.
Stimulation: The vacuum actions helps to stimulate microcirculation, increasing the blood supply that provides nutrients needed for skin regeneration. It also stimulates formation of new collagen and elastin to improve skin texture and elasticity.

Is it painful?
The treatment is performed with little discomfort. At the most, sensitive patients might experience a slight sensation resembling light sunburn. After treatment, the skin has a pink glow, and you can resume your normal activities almost immediately.

Which skin problems can be treated?
This MICRO-PEEL system gradually abrades epidermal cells to treat a vast range of skin problems.
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Blackheads and comedones
  • Uneven and granular skin
  • Superficial Scars
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Some stretch marks
  • Enlarged pores

    Is it safe?
Micro-Peel offers a gentler alternative to more traumatic resurfacing treatments. It does not involve trauma or bleeding. The treatment is executed slowly and progressively by removing only superficial layers of the epidermis to reveal a youthful complexion and glow. Your therapist has total control and works under the strictest hygiene standards, using sterile, disposable treatments nozzles to ensure your safety.

Can Micro-Peel be used on the body?
There are virtually no areas of the body that would not benefit from micro-dermabrasion. When used in exfoliation mode, it can be performed on the entire face, neck and neckline, with a second sweep on any areas of hyper-pigmentation or with textural irregularities.

    Clinical Background
Chemical peeling and manual dermabrasion are the traditional techniques for the treatment of a range of skin abnormalities. We are all aware of the restrictions and difficulties associated with these procedures; they can be painful and rapid treatment is not always available. “Microdermabrasion” therapy is not painful and does not require pre-treatment or topical anaesthesia. The real benefit is that after treatment, you are able to leave the clinic with a ‘clean and fresh’ sparkling tone, due to regeneration of the epidermal cell structure. Of course, your safety is paramount, therefore all parts which come into contact with skin during therapy are either disposable or can be sterilized.

    What you expect after treatment

Level 1 – Beauty Flash The skin may feel tight as if exposed to the sun or wind for a while after the treatment. Keep the skin well moisturized as advised by the therapist.
Level 2 – Deeper treatments for more blemished or thicker skins. The skin will look red and slightly swollen, ranging from a few hours to a few days for more sensitive skin.
Level 3 – Deep treatment, scar tissue and stretch marks. The skin will look read and swollen as in Level 2. Slight blood spotting may occur immediately after treatment and the healing over process will commence. Healing time is longer than Level 2 but the results are worth waiting for.
